More Than Ingredients: Body, Mind, and Spirit

When I began creating products for C+ Under Grace Co., I knew I wanted them to be more than just something that sat on a shelf. I didn’t want to create products simply based on trends or aesthetics alone. I wanted every ingredient to feel intentional, comforting, and connected to something deeper.

I’ve always believed that what we surround ourselves with matters, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Small moments of care can make a difference. A familiar scent, a soothing oil, or even taking a moment to slow down at the end of a long day can become a reminder to breathe, rest, reflect, and reconnect.

That’s part of the heart behind my products and the ingredients I’m drawn to.

Almond Oil

Almond oil was one of the ingredients that immediately stood out to me because of its softness and simplicity. It’s gentle, nourishing, and comforting without feeling heavy or overwhelming.

In many ways, I think we need more of that in life, gentleness that still carries strength.

The almond tree is also mentioned in scripture and is often connected to watchfulness and promise. In Jeremiah 1:11-12, the almond branch symbolizes God watching over His word and purpose.

There’s something meaningful to me about using an ingredient connected to care, intention, and quiet nourishment.

Goat’s Milk

Goat’s milk has such a natural, comforting feel to it. It reminds me of simplicity, provision, and the kind of care that feels grounded and familiar.

For generations, ingredients like goat’s milk have been appreciated for their soothing and moisturizing qualities, but beyond that, there’s also something deeply humbling about returning to simple things that nourish and support the body.

Scripture even references goat’s milk in connection with provision and sustaining the household: “...and there will be enough goats’ milk for your food...”  Proverbs 27:27

That verse may seem simple, but I love the reminder that God often works through everyday provision and practical care.

Honey

Honey is probably one of the most meaningful ingredients to me because throughout scripture it symbolizes nourishment, sweetness, abundance, and comfort.

Honey has long been valued for its soothing and softening qualities, but spiritually, it also reminds me of the importance of speaking life, kindness, and encouragement into both ourselves and others. “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” — Proverbs 16:24

I think there’s something powerful about remembering that wellness isn’t only physical. Sometimes the soul needs gentleness too.

Peach

Not every ingredient needs to carry a deep symbolic meaning to still matter.

Sometimes something is included simply because it brings warmth, familiarity, comfort, or joy — and peach does that for me. It has a softness and sweetness that feels welcoming and uplifting without being overpowering.

Sometimes the smallest comforts are the ones we remember most.

More Than Skincare

For me, creating products has never been only about appearance. It’s about creating moments of comfort, connection, reflection, and intentional care in everyday life.

Body, mind, and spirit are all connected, and I believe caring for ourselves doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.

My hope is that every product created through C+ Under Grace Co. carries a little piece of that intention with it — to comfort, encourage, nourish, and remind people that even small moments of care matter.
