Rooted In Grace

This week reminded me that growth rarely looks the way we expect.

Sometimes growth is exciting. Sometimes it's exhausting. Sometimes it feels like everything is moving forward, and other times it feels like you've taken three steps backward.

This week I experienced a little bit of everything.

Plans changed. Appointments were canceled. Questions about the future seemed bigger than the answers. I found myself dreaming about where I hope to be one day while also realizing how much work still lies between here and there.

But while caring for my plants this week, I was reminded of something simple.

Plants don't bloom the day they're planted.

Some need to be moved indoors. Some need more light. Some struggle before they thrive. Yet none of those seasons mean they're failing. They're simply growing.

I realized the same is true for us.

At C+ Under Grace Co., I believe caring for ourselves goes beyond what we apply to our skin. It includes giving ourselves grace while we're still becoming who we're meant to be.

Growth isn't always visible.

Sometimes it's choosing not to give up.

Sometimes it's learning something new.

Sometimes it's simply showing up one more day.

If you're in a season that feels slow or uncertain, don't mistake slow growth for no growth.

The roots are still growing.

And often, that's where the strongest foundations are built.
